Heidi Schatzl, Erinnerungsspeicher, The Examined Life / Das geprüfte Leben. Ernst F. Brod (1901–1978)

Heidi Schatzl’s installation The Examined Life / Das geprüfte Leben took the previously unpublished autobiography of Ernst F. Brod (1901–1978) from Erlauf, who had to flee the Austrofascist regime in 1934, and integrated it into the Museum ERLAUF ERINNERT in the form of a temporary wall relief. In 2019, the installation was transferred to the town hall of Erlauf in the form of a permanent “memory store.”
