For Lower Austria’s 2013 State Exhibition with the theme “Bread & Wine,” the city of Mistelbach chose to focus on “everything sweet.” While the MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya and Museum Mistelbach featured an exhibition about Austrian desserts, and a sample pack of local goodies (Weinviertel Genussrolle) was sold at local cafes, the artists’ group Steinbrener/Dempf took the opportunity to critically address the development of the city and its surroundings from an economic, urban planning, and aesthetic standpoint.
