The memorial commemorates Anna Lambert, who lived in Krems until she fled in 1939. Commemorative shrines have been set into the ground on both sides of the stone archway. The shrines consist of bronze blocks bearing the legends '1932–1939' and 'IN DIESER STADT' (In this town).
